Norfolk Caravan and Log Cabin Holidays
In 1971 the land, which housed a disused poultry unit was purchased from the Buxton estate. As it was not suitable for agricultural purposes, Edward and Jill Harrison, who head a local farming family, came up with the idea of providing a grassy area within the wooded parkland for touring caravans. They converted the original building into a facility block with most of the development work being carried out by farming staff and Woodland Holiday Park was formed.
From those humble beginnings, the site of 50 tourist pitches has grown to now support a club house, restaurant, swimming pool facilities, caravans,lodges and cabins for hire as well as over 250 static units.
The owner of the original keeper’s cottage which is now the site of the club house was called Mr Marlings, hence the name. The Harrison family continue to be actively involved in the day to day running of the park and you will often see them around the site.
Set in spacious woodland on the North Norfolk coastal road, four miles south of Cromer, Woodland Holiday Park is the quiet, family friendly location for your well earned peaceful break.
Our timber built lodges and our Cabins offer a tranquil surrounding, along with entertainment, spacious eating facilities and catering for the whole family in the perfect location to explore the North Norfolk Coast.
We have Scandinavian lodges, newly built Cabins and modern holiday caravans or you can bring your own caravan or tent as we have touring and camping pitches available amongst our beautiful woodland.
The surrounding woodland are perfect for walking your dog or just relaxing, or you could have a peaceful walk or gentle run along the nearby sandy beach.
We have an indoor heated pool for all our guests to enjoy (please bring your own towels) along with a children's splash pool and sauna. While away the hours at our fishing lake or try your hand at snooker or tennis.
You can relax with a drink and locally sourced meal at our on site restaurant or just sit and have a drink in our bar. We have live entertainment on a regular basis for your enjoyment at the end of the day.
