Local Attractions

Beautiful & tranquil Norfolk is a diverse county with a huge amount on offer for couples, families and friends. Here at Woodland Holiday Park, we are lucky to be in the heart of the un-spoilt countryside and surrounded by some of the country’s most beautiful beaches.

Take advantage of our coastal location and visit the charming seaside villages nearby; Blakeney & Morston are particular hot-spots as areas of outstanding natural beauty you can enjoy the wide-open spaces of the Nature Reserve; stunning coastal views, and explore the independent shops, delis and restaurants dotted along the coast.

So, what is there to do in Norfolk? Below, we talk about the top attractions and things to do whilst you’re visiting this fabulous county.

  • Seal trips are a particular highlight offering a unique insight into the large colonies of seals who live on the coastline all year. Our favourite boatman is Beans Boats, who run trips all year and have an incredible depth of knowledge about the whole area as well as individual seal families. beansboattrips.co.uk

  • Cromer is just a short 5-minute drive down the road and offers a fantastic day out for the family. Sandy beaches, the iconic Cromer Pier and Theatre, together with a wide range of shops are just a handful of things on offer. Of course, a trip to Cromer would not be the same without sampling the world-famous Cromer Crabs. We highly recommend Davies Fish Shop located in the centre of town.

  • Norwich offers the perfect day out for anyone. With a great range of high street and local shops, Norwich is regularly voted into the top 20 best shopping cities in the UK. If you need a break from retail therapy there are fantastic bars & restaurants in the city centre too. For a more cultural day out there are several museums & art galleries to visit including the Castle Museum which regularly hosts exhibits and collections from all over the World.

  • North Norfolk has some of the countries finest golf courses. Royal Cromer, Sheringham and Hunstanton are highly recommended. Although these are all links courses, each of them offers something very different. Why not enjoy a long weekend at Woodland Holiday Park and enjoy a tour of the courses? We can arrange tee times for you so there’s no organisation needed from yourself.
