What’s on in November
No matter the time of year, there’s always plenty to do in North Norfolk, and November is no exception. Bonfire night is just around the corner and, as much as some may protest, it’s never too early to start thinking about Christmas.
Here’s a few events we’d recommend this month:
FRIDAY 2ND NOVEMBER – FIREWORK SPECTACULAR DISPLAY AT THE LIGHTHOUSE INN, WALCOTT.
This event promises to be equally entertaining for you and your little ones. The Lighthouse Inn will start off with a children’s firework display at 7.15pm, followed by their main display at 8.30pm. Live entertainment runs throughout the evening from 6pm – 8pm, and if you fancy a bite to eat there will be plenty of delicious food on offer, as well as a licensed bar. Advance tickets: Family of 4 £20, single £10. On the night: Family of 4 £30, single £15.
FRIDAY 2ND NOVEMBER – RACKHEATH FIREWORK DISPLAY, RACKHEATH
Head to Rackheath for a fantastic night of fireworks. The first display starts at 7.30pm and finale is at 8/30pm. There’s a variety of food to choose from if you get peckish (including donuts and crepes!) and a licensed bar. Adult tickets are £5, Under 16s £2.
FRIDAY 2ND NOVEMBER – BIG BOOM FIREWORKS, NORWICH
The Big Boom event returns to Norwich City Centre this year and is sure to live up to the name. Set in the heart of the city, with the display firing from Norwich Castle itself, there’s plenty of places to grab a bite to eat beforehand. The display will be fired to the beat of the music, making for a spectacular show. The event is on Friday 2nd November from 7.30pm. Entry is free.
SUNDAY 4TH NOVEMBER – FILBY FIREWORKS, FILBY
Complete with music, children’s funfair rides, delicious food and drinks, and a bar, Filby’s Firework night is perfect for families and young children. Gates open at 5pm and the display starts at 7pm. Adult tickets £4, Children £2.
WEDNESDAY 14TH NOVEMBER – HOLT CHRISTMAS LIGHTS, HOLT
This event is truly fun for all the family. The light switch-on and firework display is at 6.30pm, but in the mean-time there will be food stalls, entertainment, a parade, and even a pantomime horse race that starts at 4.30pm.
FRIDAY 16TH – SUNDAY 18TH NOVEMBER – CHRISTMAS FAIR, SANDRINGHAM
A bit further afield – but certainly worth the trip – is the Sandringham Christmas Fair. Set in the picturesque Sandringham Estate, the Fair is an annual event in the Norfolk calendar and offers a plethora of unique crafts stalls, gift and shopping arcades, the ever-popular Food Hall, and festive entertainment for all the family. For the Christmas enthusiasts among us, this is the ultimate festive experience. Adults £8, Seniors £7.50, Children £2.
