Good to Go

It’s official! "We're Good to Go"
We have applied for the new Visit England COVID-19 Industry Standard certification which recognises that Woodland Holiday Park has confirmed we have followed Government guidelines and industry COVID-19 guidelines, ensuring processes are in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing for our staff, owners and holiday guests.

We are pleased to have received this certification and hope it reassures you all that we are ready to have you back!

Holiday Makers

We strongly recommend that you download the government approved track and tracing application to ensure we are all alerted to any guests who may pose a risk of spreading COVID-19.

Please note: our processes and precautions will be under constant review, and this guide will be updated when these change with the latest information. We will, of course, always comply with all government regulations and more.

If you have any concerns about your stay, our team will be happy to talk to you further about these.

            Pre-Arrival/Arrival and Check in

  • We will phone you approximately 5 days before your arrival to ask some questions to ensure that all members of your party are safe and well.
  • We politely request that if any member of your party is displaying any symptoms of Covid-19 that you call us to postpone your stay, (subject to availability)
  • Due to the additional cleaning regime required for Covid-19, your accommodation will not be available until 4pm.
  • We have added Perspex screens to our reception, so we can all keep our distance. If you have any questions during your stay please call on 01263 579208.
  • Hand sanitising stations are provided in the main entrance of our reception area and around the facilities that are open.
  • Upon arrival, we ask that only 1 member of the party come into reception to process your check in.
  • You will be shown where your accommodation is on our site map. The key for your accommodation will already be in the door, cleaned, for you to enjoy.
  • We will no longer be providing the service of towel change during your stay; therefore, extra towels will be placed in your accommodation.
  • No member of our team will be entering your accommodation during your stay. However, we are always happy to help and will ensure we do so with all our safety in mind.
  • Every accommodation is fully sanitised before each stay and checked by using an extensive ‘touch point’ list. If you wish to see this checklist, please ask at reception. Our Housekeeping team wear the appropriate PPE during cleaning.

Common Areas

  • We have set up sanitising areas throughout the main building and politely ask you use these when entering the different areas.
  • Extensive cleaning of shared surfaces will be conducted throughout the day.
  • To avoid overcrowding we do ask people to use their own toilets to reduce the risk of spreading the virus.
  • We ask that no more than 2 people to use the toilets in order to keep social distancing.
  • When walking through the main building we will ask that you please use your discretion and consideration by keeping a social distance of a minimum of 2 meters between yourself, other guests and staff. Floor markings are in place in key areas.

Food and Drink

  • We have configured our venue to ensure that each table is 2m apart.
  • Due to this we will be using a booking system only with 2 sittings.
    • 5-7pm (last booking at 6pm)
    • 7.15-9pm (last booking at 8pm)
  • We politely request diners to leave at the end of the 1st sitting by 7pm so we can sanitise the area of each table before our next sitting starts at 7.15pm.
  • We recommend all diners download the track and tracing application to ensure we are all alerted to any guest who may pose a risk of spreading Covid-19.
  • To maintain the social distancing guidelines, we will not be offering drinks at the bar, instead we will offer a full table service. Again, you must book before coming into our restaurant.
  • A ‘click and collect’ service will still be operational through our website only. This must be collected at the side of our main building by the kitchen.
  • We have created separate entry and exit points to our outside facilities from the restaurant, limiting contact and maintaining social distance between guests and our staff.
  • We ask you to be alert of toilet use and stick to 2 people only in the facilities.
  • Hand sanitising stations are available in the entrance of the main reception area, as you enter the restaurant and towards the leisure facilities.
  • We will only be accepting card payments at this time.

Leisure Facilities – when opened.

  • In order to keep you and our teams safe, we have added Perspex screens in our reception area.
  • Most of our leisure facilities will be open for you to enjoy. However, we will have to limit the number of people in each area at one time to ensure social distancing is maintained.
  • A booking system will be in place, you must call 01263 579208 to book a slot for both the Swimming Pool and Gym.
  • We have had to reduce the numbers in each area: Gym only 12 at a time and Swimming only 20.
  • We will still be issuing the bands, which will be sanitised before handing over.
  • Some toilet cubicles, showers and lockers will be out of use in order to assist with social distancing.
  • We will conduce regular cleaning of shared surfaces, changing rooms and our public spaces throughout the day.
  • We may need to briefly close areas throughout the day to carry out further deep cleaning and sanitization.
  • Our water tap stations will be closed at this moment in time. We ask that you bring your own water bottle when using the facilities.
  • Hand sanitising stations are available in the entrance of the main reception area, as you enter the restaurant and towards the leisure facilities.

Check Out

We hope you enjoyed your stay with us at Woodland Holiday Park, despite the change in our operation. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

  • We ask that you leave all doors and windows open, even if it is raining, to allow the outside air to circulate around the accommodation.
  • We ask that you load the dishwasher before you leave, even items you have not used.
  • Please return the accommodation key in our main reception, 1 person only, so we can say goodbye and have a safe journey home.
  • We ask that you use the hand sanitisers before entering and leaving the main reception area.

Our People

Our ambassador for Woodland Holiday Park for Covid-19 and Health and Safety is Philippa Parsons, please contact her direct on 01263 576034

  • All our team have undergone comprehensive hospitality-focused training on how to prevent the contagion of Covid-19.
  • All staff will be temperature checked upon arrival for work, and will be required to self-certify that they have not been in contact with anyone with Covid-19 symptoms.
  • Any staff member who shows symptoms will be immediately sent home and will be required to self-isolate for 14 days prior to returning to work.
  • Internal regulations have been introduced that require our staff to wear the appropriate PPE during their shifts and to wash their hands frequently.
  • Hand sanitising stations are located in our main reception area, entrance to the restaurant and before entering the leisure facilities/toilet area.
  • There is only 1 staff member working in the kitchen due to the size - hence the reason for the reduction of our opening hours.
  • All teams have been reduced to avoid transmission throughout the park, and we are keeping to the same teams.

We look forward to welcoming you in the future to Woodland Holiday Park, when it’s safe. In the meantime, watch our film for a virtual visit to our park and the beautiful north Norfolk coast on our doorstep. See you at our home when it’s safe to leave your home.
